Fizzgigs was set up in 2012 with the aim of creating a range of local community arts events and performances which could be enjoyed by the local community and of encouraging a sharing of creative experiences and skills across all age groups.

We work with and within the local community. We like building things, like giant puppets and dragons and we run workshops to develop our creative skills and those of the community. We like taking part in processions and events, such as the Ellesmere Carnival and Summer and Winter Festivals, and in running activities such as art and music sessions, ceilidhs and informal social gatherings.

We are a not for profit organisation, holding fund raising events, bidding for grants and encouraging sponsorships to support our community activities. We hold fairly regular meetings and workshops open to all members.

Membership is open to anyone in the local community of Ellesmere and surrounding areas who feels they can benefit from and contribute to the group and is interested in helping the group meet its aims. In return we hope you will enjoy developing new skills, working as part of a team of friendly local people and the satisfaction that comes when the latest event has gone well!
